1. Notice of Intent for SMD Product Review Due Sept 17
This is a reminder that NOIs for the fall NASA SMD Product Review are due on Monday, Sept. 17. NOIs are not required, but are very helpful in planning for the review cycle. If you plan on submitting a product for the summer review, please email John Ensworth ([email protected]) with the following information: your name and organization, NASA SMD division, product title, primary audience, targeted grade level, subject of product, the approximate length (in pages), and format (PDF, website, poster, etc.). 2. Session Proposals Now Being Accepted – NSTA 2013-2014 Conferences
Session proposals are now being accepted for the NSTA 2013 Area Conferences and the 2014 National Conference. Deadlines to submit are Jan. 15 for the 2013 Area Conferences, and April 15 for the 2014 National Conference. For information on submitting a proposal, please visit http://bit.ly/RTC7CI. Conference dates are listed below:

3. 2013 Alan Shepard Technology in Education Awards (Apply by Jan. 14)
Do you know K-12 teachers or district-level administrators who are making a difference in education through the use of technology? Recognize their achievements by nominating them for the Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award. The Astronauts Memorial Foundation, in partnership with NASA and the Space Foundation, will recognize the accomplishments of one outstanding individual and his or her contributions to lifelong learning through the application of technology in the classroom or in the professional development of teachers.

Technology personnel and K-12 classroom teachers who have demonstrated exemplary use of technology to enhance learning are eligible for this award.
