NASA Science4Girls and Their Families: Support for Libraries

The NASA Science4Girls initiative will kick off with events at libraries nationwide beginning in celebration of Women's History Month, March 2013. This year, the theme of Women’s History Month is “Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.”

Libraries are encouraged to partner with NASA science education programs to empower women’s success – especially in science – starting from when they are young. Libraries will have the opportunity to host events related to NASA’s scientific explorations of our home planet Earth, our Sun, our solar system, and the Universe beyond and to engage girls and their families in making discoveries for themselves.

Libraries can still join in the celebration of Women’s History Month!.

Contact us before March 15 to partner with NASA science education programs that are hosting training webinars this Spring. Webinars will support participating libraries in offering NASAScience4Girls and Their Families programming at their libraries during 2013 and 2014.
