I had a great time teaching for 35 years, but I knew it would be time to be done in 2009. We relocated to North Georgia in the fall of 2009, and I immediately got involved with the local AAPT section. The outreach I have done has involved Telescopes in the Park, Cub Scout Astronomy, a fourth grade Solar System presention, high school class presentations about World Space Week, and a public viewing event of the 2012 transit of Venus. I am currently teaching astronomy at a Lifelong Learning Institute, where, for the first time, all of my students were born before me. I am also the tour guide for the Solar System Scale Model (1 mile on the model = 2 billion miles in the solar system) in our town.
