Short Description:

E/PO GRAIL MoonKAM. An essential part of the E/PO MoonKAM program is student collaboration.  The E/PO MoonKAM Mission Control Center (MOC) will coexist with and utilize the NASA EarthKAM MOC facility already in place and functional at UCSD. From FY09 through FY2013 UCSD undergraduate students will work with SRS supervisors and GRAIL scientists to design and implement the MoonKAM Mission Operations.www.GRAILMoonKAM.com

For outstanding performance in providing the MoonKAM, an exceptional Education and Public Outreach resource onboard the GRAIL spacecraft, to NASA at an affordable cost.

GRAIL Mission Operations System Design Team
For exceptional achievement in developing the highly successful mission operations system used by GRAIL to reach the lunar orbit phases.

Engage both middle school and college students in our signature E/PO and Student Collaboration program, E/PO MoonKAM (hereafter, known as “MoonKAM”).
What is the design of the evaluation process for your program element / activity?:
The GRAIL MoonKAM program will undergo both formative and summative evaluation to measure program success, to document whether the E/PO objectives have been met, and to provide information that will be useful to NASA and the GRAIL program staff.
