The Barringer Meteorite Crater curriculum is an inquiry-based 10-day curriculum that takes middle school students from observers to experimenters to educated participants in the investigation of the scientific processes of impact cratering. The unit culminates with a scientific and historical narrative of how Barringer Meteorite Crater in Arizona was identified. These lessons employ a variety of teaching strategies, including leveraging competition and cooperation in group work, delivering interactive lectures, directing in-class hands-on experiments, and using interactive online simulations. The lessons are free to download on the Barringer Meteorite Crater website, with all lesson plans, teacher keys, and student handouts ready to inspire the next generation of science students to the mysteries of impact craters, asteroids, and beyond!

Curriculum with an Impact! is available on the Barringer Crater website at www.barringercrater.com/education/teachers.php.
