New Requirement for SMD Exhibits

Please update your general public exhibits including future exhibits to include QR Codes so the public knows where to go for more informaiton.

Using QR code is an easy way for the public to grab more information about your exhibit, poster or other media. Codes are free to generate and the public can use many free smartphone QR apps to scan it. Your QR code may contain downloadable content (optimized for the mobile platform) but here are a few other uses for QR codes:

  • connecting to social media,
  • downloading contact information,
  • emailing newsletters,
  • creating audio messages,
  • linking pdf files, videos or image galleries,
  • displaying directions to an exhibit
  • adding an important date to a calendar
