NASA Research and Education Support Services (NRESS) is seeking persons willing to serve as panel reviewers for the NASA Innovations in Global Climate Change Education (IGCCE), a program element under Education Opportunities in NASA STEM (EONS) NNH11ZHA002C. Peer review is a critical component of the decision-making process for awarding projects under this solicitation. It assists in identifying high-quality projects by engaging individuals with different backgrounds, perspectives and areas of expertise in the review process.

The IGCCE solicitation is designed to improve the teaching and learning about global climate change in elementary and secondary schools, on college campuses, and throughout lifelong learning. Each funded proposal is expected to take advantage of NASA’s unique contributions in climate and Earth system science.

Detailed information regarding proposal requirements and evaluation criteria are contained in the solicitation. This document can be viewed through the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) at http://nspires.nasaprs.com . Select “Solicitations” and then “Open Solicitations”, then EONS, then find IGCCE under the List of Program Elements.

Prospective panelists will be assigned as the primary reviewer for three proposals and as the secondary reviewer for additional proposals (generally 5-6) to be determined by the number of submissions. Panelists will be expected to complete online reviews in the April 4-May 4 time frame. The panel review period is scheduled for the week of May 9 and will be held in Hampton, VA. Technical and logistic details (including travel and flat fee paid for your serving on full panel days) will be provided by NASA Research and Education Support Services (NRESS).

Please view the solicitation to determine your interest in serving as a peer reviewer and respond to the following by return e-mail to GCCEREVIEWERS@nasaprs.com
