Six NASA CCRI Education Ambassadors collaborated and became selected for an in-flight education downlink scheduled for September 24, 11:20 – 11:40 am ET (tentative)! (See attached for more details).

In-flight education downlinks are opportunities for students and educators to interact with astronauts aboard the International Space Station during a live, 20-minute question-and-answer session.

This is a collaboration of six schools spanning across three New York City Boroughs and New Jersey. The collective audience includes more than 4,350 high school students and 400 educators and is a reflection of the great diversity that is New York City and New Jersey. With NASA TV, and Livestream, this event has the potential to reach over 15,000 viewers across our communities. We are NYC-NJ Unite!

  • Kingsbridge International High School, Bronx, NY
  • Knowledge and Power Preparatory Academy International High School, Bronx, NY
  • Martin Van Buren High School, Queens, NY
  • North Bergen STEM Academy and High School, NJ

Event Highlights:

  • This is the first event of its kind. 
  • It will be featured on NASA TV and NASA Live. 
  • It represents New York and New Jersey communities
  • This event will allow students to ask their questions 

              to astronauts from the current International Space   

              Station Mission and get responses live.

  • This event will allow students to hear and see the  

              crewmembers live from space.

  • It will reach over 15,000 viewers.
