In collaboration with Columbia University’s Earth Institute, we would like to invite you to a series of webinars for K-12 students and educators. The EI LIVE K-12 channel will feature experts from across the Earth Institute presenting relevant sustainability content in 45-minute live sessions for K12 students and educators. This Thursday, 3/18, Margie Turrin, Director of Educational Field Programs, and Laurel Zaima, Education and Outreach Coordinator, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, will help students dig into the “National Climate Assessment Report” and the “US Climate Resiliency Toolkit” to explore data uncovering local impacts from global climate change and discuss opportunities for building a more resilient future. During each EI K-12 session the NASA Education Program Specialist from NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies will provide supplemental NASA education, content, platforms and resources relevant to the weekly topic for further exploration and discovery.
This Thursday’s episode (March 18), is entitled What’s Going to Happen to My Neighborhood? and will be presented at 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM ET.
