Greetings from NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies!
In collaboration with Columbia University’s Earth Institute, we would like to invite you to a series of webinars for K-12 students and educators. The EI LIVE K-12 channel will feature experts from across the Earth Institute presenting relevant sustainability content in 45-minute live sessions for K12 students and educators. Today, Spencer Hill, Postdoctoral Research Scientist, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory will provide a webinar on how Earth’s rotation influences storms and ocean currents. A rotating tank of water and some food coloring will be used to create real-world models. During each EI K-12 session the NASA Education Program Specialist from NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies will provide supplemental NASA education, content, platforms and resources relevant to the weekly topic for further exploration and discovery.
Today’s episode is entitled "You Spin Me Right Round" and will be presented at 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM EDT.
