In collaboration with Columbia University’s Earth Institute, we would like to invite you to a series of webinars for K-12 students and educators. The EI LIVE K-12 channel will feature experts from across the Earth Institute presenting relevant sustainability content in 45-minute live sessions for K12 students and educators. This week, Dannie Dinh, Program Officer and Deputy Country Lead for the Adapting Agriculture to Climate Today, for Tomorrow (ACToday) project, International Research Institute for Climate and Society, will provide a webinar on constructing climate-conscious cities. Students will learn about the risks and challenges of climate change and what innovative ideas and solutions can help reduce or adapt to those impacts. Then they will brainstorm and draw what these ideas would look like in our own daily life and community. Together, we will imagine and sketch our future world in the face of a changing climate. During each EI K-12 session the NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies will provide supplemental NASA education, content, platforms and resources relevant to the weekly topic for further exploration and discovery.
This week’s episode is entitled "Constructing Climate-Conscious Cities" and will be presented on February 3, 2021 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM EDT.
