Over 500 middle school girls and their parents participated in Rice University’s Reach for the Stars event held on Saturday, October 12, 2019. This annual event encourages girls to pursue academic achievement and careers in STEM.
ARES staff showcased meteorite hand samples, a lunar touchstone and Apollo replica tools. They also provided insight into their career path to NASA. The team also facilitated a hands-on activity session that enabled 60 girls an opportunity to learn more about NASA's Stardust mission to Comet Wild 2.
