Kite-flying and Remote Sensing with Boys & Girls Club and 4-H leaders in Lewistown, Montana

Suzi Taylor, Director of Montana State University’s Science Math Resource Center, introduced Youth leaders from the Lewistown, Montana Boys & Girls Club and an Extension 4-H agent to airborne remote sensing using kites at a STEM activities training on August 24, 2020. Participants made mini-kites and then worked in teams flying kite-borne instrumentation to collect imagery and atmospheric data in Montana's wheat growing country. Skills learned and data collected will be used to enhance their youth STEM programming.
