NASA's Universe of Learning - Women in Astronomy: The Past Inspires the Future
Please join us for this special edition of the NASA’s Universe of Learning Science Briefings to celebrate Women’s History Month! We will hear from astronomers about how they and their research are inspired by astronomers of the past. In this briefing, speakers will discuss how their research is informed and inspired by past scientists. Dr. Gonzalez will present on “The Long History of Gravitational Waves”.  Dr. Hays will present on “Gamma-ray Pulsars, Lighthouses in the Galaxy”. Dr. Morales will present on “The Formation of Planetary Systems and How Cecilia Payne Gaposchkin has Inspired Me.” In addition to these perspectives, we will highlight several resources relating to their science content, including resources to engage girls and their families in exploring the wonders of science and celebrating the contributions of women to STEM fields.
