GLOBE Mission EARTH Announces Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE)-Surface Temperature Field Campaign Webinars 2019-2020 

This is the THIRD webinar in the series supporting GLOBE’s Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE)-Surface Temperature Field Campaign lead by Dr. Kevin Czajkowski, University of Toledo. The webinars are held on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm Eastern Time and registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/2019GMEWebinar3

In this webinar

  • Dr. C will review the GLOBE December data from the campaign and discuss the reasons for the differences in surface temperature.
  • Angie Rizzi, NASA Educator, will show how to obtain satellite data from  My NASA Data website and import the data to an excel spreadsheet
  • Tracy Ostrom from GME UC Berkeley will link the latest poster on the Science Process to the GLOBE Student Research Poster template used in all GLOBE competitions.
