GLOBE Mission EARTH Announces Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE)-Surface Temperature Field Campaign Webinars 2019-2020 

This is the SECOND webinar in the series supporting GLOBE’s Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE)-Surface Temperature Field Campaign lead by Dr. Kevin Czajkowski, University of Toledo. The webinars are held on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm Eastern Time and registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/2019GMEWebinar2

The webinar is led by Dr. C and includes

•Dr. David Padgett, scientist, describes the science behind satellite data

•Vicky Gorman, teacher at Medford Memorial Middle School, provides strategies to engage students in collecting data and describes the student created CSEP program

•Angie Rizzi, NASA Educator, showcases My NASA Data website location to view satellite data
