Three NASA science education projects - NASA Earth Science Education Collaborative, GLOBE Mission Earth, and AREN Project (AEROKATS & ROVER Education Network) - presented this public event, hosted by the Michigan Science Center. The National Informal Science Education Network (NISE Net) project made the introduction to the local science center.

The project teams were in Detroit for the GLOBE Annual meeting; the Michigan Science Center hosted this event as part of their “Summer of Space,” with free admission all summer.

Visitors had a fun afternoon with interactive science stage talks about NASA Earth science and hands-on activities including citizen science with GLOBE Observer, kite making, and measuring urban heat islands.
