On July 2, 2019, a total solar eclipse will sweep across the Pacific Ocean and make landfall in Chile. The Exploratorium will have a team waiting at the Cerro Tololo Observatory to capture this event live and make it available via satellite or the web. One hour English and Spanish language programs begin at 1pm PDT, 4pm EDT. Telescipe only feed of entire eclipse begins at 12:00pm PDT, 3:00pm EDT. Totality begins at 1:38pm PDT, 4:38pm EDT.
