GME-UT participated in The Lake Erie Water Festival on May 21, 2019 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Motherhouse in Monroe, MI. This annual event educates 6th grade students from Monroe County Schools about environmental issues.
GME-UT along with two high school students from Meadow Montessori (Lily & Meca) manned Station #9. Students collected water samples from different locations of a nearby pond and measured the temperature, transparency, pH and phosphorus. The groups shared their data and hypothesized why some measurements differed.
The GLOBE Program was mentioned in the Monroe News on May 22, 2019.
