STEM Educator / Associate Researcher: New Horizons in Space Additive Manufacturing and STEM Education
The NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies is recruiting a STEM teacher to participate in the NASA GISS Summer Internship Program as an Associate Researcher in a research project titled: New Horizons in Space Additive Manufacturing and STEM Education.
The STEM teacher selected for this position will be part of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies Summer Internship program and will lead all activities as defined by their mentor while leading research teams, participate in and supervise enrichment events, attend teacher collaboration meetings, assist and guide in the development of a scientific research paper, poster, PowerPoint presentation and develop STEM curriculum that will become integrated into their current classrooms. Applicants should be full-time, in service credentialed teachers with a minimum of three years’ experience in the classroom and have experience developing STEM curriculum. The awardee will work full time throughout the entirety of the program which begins on July 1, 2019 and concludes on August 9, 2019.
