FREE 3 day GLOBE Training Workshop:

WHEN: April 23, 24, 25, 2019

WHERE: Queens College ​(65-30 Kissena Blvd, Flushing, NY 11367)

  • The workshop is open to all teachers and nature center/parks educators.  
  • There is free parking available on campus
  • 8:30 to 4:30 each day
  • Light breakfast and lunch served each day
  • Participants that complete the workshop will receive a classroom set of equipment ($200.00 - $300.00 value) that will allow them to do a select group of GLOBE protocols of their choice. 

The workshop will include an introduction and overview of the GLOBE Program, demonstrate several GLOBE educational activities and protocols.  Participants will do several protocols in the course of answering a research question.  The workshop will also cover how to enter and retrieve data, and create visualizations using the GLOBE tools and resources.   We'll also introduce several new NASA developed resources, Elementary GLOBE, and investigate strategies for incorporating authentic environmental research experiences into the existing elementary through high school curriculum.
