On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 @ 2:00pm EDT (6:00pm UTC) the Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research will have an informational kickoff webinar. During the webinar, we will introduce the Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign by discussing the campaign logistics, what to expect, what GLOBE protocols to use to collect data and see how the NASA Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 Mission fits into the campaign. We will also highlight the plan for the campaign's use of student collaboration, GLOBE data, and research projects. We really want this to be an informal discussion with the majority of it available to answer your questions.

During the webinar we will:

  1. Introduce the campaign and some of the campaign team
  2. Go through the GLOBE Campaign website
  3. Discuss the protocols and measurements involved
  4. Discuss the ICESat-2 Mission and its tree height measurements
  5. Finding the data via the GLOBE Advanced Data Access Tool (ADAT)
  6. A group discussion on potential research projects
  7. Open Q & A
