In 2019, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) will celebrate its 100th anniversary (IAU100). To commemorate this milestone, the IAU will organise a year-long celebration to increase awareness of a century of astronomical discoveries as well as to support and improve the use of astronomy as a tool for education, development and diplomacy.

The IAU is issuing a
call for proposals for Special Projects in support of IAU100 Goals at local and national levels. An IAU100 Special Project is an astronomy-oriented activity implemented at a local or national level that will support the IAU100 Goals under one or more of the IAU100 Flagship Programmes. The IAU100 Task Force will provide seed money support up to 2500 EUR for the IAU100 Special Projects. The deadline for application is June 15, 2018.
