November 10 – 13, Earth to Sky and GSFC Earth science had a significant presence at the virtual National Association for Interpretation (NAI) annual conference. In addition to a pre-conference workshop, Earth to Sky hosted two conference sessions and a virtual booth.
o “Climate Science in the Era of COVID-19”, presented by Geneviève de Messières (Earth to Sky Lead) and scientist Lesley Ott (GSFC GMAO), drew 154 participants to learn about changes in air pollution, prescribed fire patterns, and the nuances of carbon dioxide signals. A lively participant discussion focused on weaving these science results into place-based education (interpretation).
