With a background in atmospheric science and natural resource management, Sarah McCrea is an Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Students' Cloud Observations On-Line (S'COOL) Project supporting the Cloud and Earth's Radiant Energy Systems (CERES) Mission out of NASA Langley Research Center. In addition, she is a GLOBE trainer in various protocols under the Atmosphere, Biosphere, and Soils spheres through the NASA Langley Research Center GLOBE Partnership.
Currently, Sarah develops Earth Science resources and outreach materials, leads formal and informal E/PO (to include educator professional development and participant trainings), and participant engagement and retention for the CERES S'COOL Project. She leads Project participant registration, correspondence, and engagement (since 2010). As a GLOBE Trainer, Sarah leads teacher workshops focused on atmospheric protocols highlighting Earth science content, STEM engagement strategies, authentic NASA science experiences, and hands-on/classroom ready material/projects.
