The Vanishing Sun: Eclipse Tales from Around the World

These multi-cultural eclipse folktales were researched and recorded by professional storytellers Cassandra Wye and Fran Stallings at the request of the Lunar and Planetary Institute, to engage a variety of audiences, particularly in preparation for the August 21 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. The stories were selected and performed to engage a variety of ages. The project includes 11 audio recordings and one video recording which incorporated both subtitles and ASL sign interpretation.  All are welcome to use these. Support for the eclipse stories provided by the Institute for Science of Exploration Targets node of the Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute located at Southwest Research Institute.

A flyer has been attached for those who requested one to help disseminate this resource to their audiences.
