Job Description:
SSAI is seeking a Teacher/Educator to develop science curriculum materials for the NASA Langley Research Center Science Directorate Educational Outreach Program. 

The candidate will assess the status of existing education materials and provide needed updates, and help develop materials using new media and technologies. 

The candidate will perform tasks associated with Langley's MyNASAData program, providing tools and education resources for teachers and students to conduct data analysis using NASA satellite data.  

The candidate will work to align educational resources with the relevant educational standards, such as Next Generation Science Standards.

The candidate will also participate in other education-related activities as part of the education outreach team including: providing teacher training, presenting at conferences, and supporting public outreach events.  

The candidate will work with the team coordinating educational services with teacher communities.
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Math, or Education (with science focus)

-Experience coordinating educational programs for informal or formal settings.

-Familiar with GLOBE Program, able to obtain GLOBE certifications.

-Familiar with K-12 skills needed for science data analysis.

-Excellent computer skills and familiarity with current social media (i.e. web blogs, Facebook, You Tube,  etc.)

-Keen interest in earth and atmospheric science education. 

-Ability and desire to participate in science curriculum development. 

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Familiar with web site and social media technologies.
