K-12 Educators

NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) plays an essential role in inspiring the next generation of explorers. The discoveries and new knowledge from NASA’s missions and research programs offer the opportunity to engage and excite students about science and exploration. This link offers teachers information about K-12 classroom resources, programs, events, and opportunities for K-12 educators. To find resources and opportunities for your grade level, click the Xes next to the other two grade levels in the Audience box on the left sidebar and click the blue Go button (e.g., if you teach middle school, click the Xes next to High school and Elementary in the Audience box).

Looking for NASA science educational resources for your classroom? Visit NASA Wavelength, a searchable database that contains a wealth of SMD educational products for the K-12 classroom!

You can also search for all education resources created by all areas of NASA.

Visit NASA Nationwide to find speakers for your classroom and to learn about events that may be ongoing in your community.

If you would like to be part of SMD’s E/PO Community, please contact the SMD Education Forum that most closely aligns with your interests; contacts are listed at the top of the People Tab.

To find SMD Education events, visit the Calendar Tab.

To find events associated with NASA Wavelength, visit Wavelength’s News and Events page.
